those costers are so cool! great give away! thanks!

my most memorable halloween costume is very simple, but marked a wonderful time for my family. for my son's 1st halloween we found a way too cute turtle costume. then i dressed the husband and myself up in bunny ears and cotton ball tails. i still have the pieces to these costumes in my halloween storage. i have to giggle a little everytime i look at them or the photos of us dressed up.

ps. i posted a photo of my favorite costume on my blog at:

Hmmm...most memorable costume...

I guess I'll go with a Batman Theme group thing I did in college. I made an awesome Two Face costume for one of my guy friends and a girlfriend and I were Sugar (me) and Spice (her). It might have been a bit slutty but, hey, we were young.

I also did some really elaborate fairy wings back in the day before you could buy the big adult ones. They were cool but weighed a ton!

This is such a fun way to find out what everyone remembers and to get ideas for this Halloween. When I was a little kid I dressed up as Little Orphan Annie. Having straight brown hair my mom got a wig at the thrift store and spray painted it red. So much fun and I remember the adults liking the costume more then the kids.

Favorite costume ... hmmm... it had to be the fabulous witch costume my mom made for me when I was a girl. I didn't really appreciate all the work she but into it then but now I'm blown away by all the work she did. REally wish I had a picture around . . .

Great coasters! Halloween is my favorite.

Ok I have been-

Lady Liberty
A clown
Snow White
A disco dancer
A scary looking witch

The Lady Liberty costume was pretty cool. I lived in Germany and could not shop for a costume so I used a sheet dyed green for the gown, my hubbys army notebook for the book she holds, some tinfoil and paper for the torch... I am still rooting around for the picture to post on my blog. :)

Love those coaters! You are super talented.

My most memorable costume was when I was probably 5 and I wanted to go as a pioneer. My Great Grandma had made me a patchwork skirt and I had a white peasant blouse and a shawl (why I thought that's what pioneers wore - no idea!) The kicker was that earlier that day I'd gotten a pair of blue suede go-go boots (hey, it was the 60's) and I thought they'd be perfect with my pioneer costume and insisted on wearing them! Quite the fashion forward pioneer!

love the martha stewart stuff and those napkins are too cute!

My most memorable costume was whn I was about 10 or so, and my mom dressed me up as a housewife, I paraded the neighborhood in curlers, a bathrobe and swung a rolling pin around! My brother went as my bum husband I guess, with coffee grounds on his face for a beard, and a ripped flannel! I wish I had a pic of that embarrasing holloween to share!

My most memorable costume was one that my Mother made for me. When I was little, my parents had purchased a house and didn't have a lot of money to spend, but my Mother creatively hid that. When I was eight, I wanted to be a princess for Halloween. My Mother got a pink fancy long dress from the Salvation Army. She paired it with the white shoes I had for communion the Spring year before and she made me a glittery wand and crown. I wanted the costume from the store and gave her a hard time until I picked up the wand she made and shook it a little. Tiny sparkles of glitter came out of it. As I met my friends and neighbors, I shook magic on them. I had the best time being a princess walking up and down stairs collecting treats and sprinkling magic on everyone.

I love your coasters! They are adorable. My stitches just never come out as pretty as I envision them to. Anyway... my most memorable costume would be when my sister and I dressed as happy clown/sad clown and we got to use our mom's makeup for the first time. By the way... clowns creep me out. But, there you go. Thanks for the drawing!

My most memorable costume was a recent one - I braided roving, synthetic hair, ribbon and beads into my hair, put on two pairs of clay horns and a kimono. Not very unusual, but then I went to work in it and half the staff thought I was wearing a wig.

Ooo, ooo...sign me up please? I love to decorate for Halloween and those coasters are absolutely precious!

My most memorable costume is from when I was a child. My mother took some pink courdory and one of her old prom dresses and made me the most awsomely beautiful Little Bo Peep costume! The underskirt was from her dress, a soft minty green with pink rosebuds on it. The jacket, and because I don't know what they are called I'll call them hip flounces, and bonnet were of the pink courdory. I felt so beautiful! My mother also made me a pair of pantaloons out of white muslin and curled my hair in ringlets. It was awesome!

My most memorable Halloween costume is the firefighter outfit my sister made for me a few years ago. Black pants & sweatshirt, silver & yellow duct tape, and lettering from a hardware store. It looks great and has been worn numerous times.
I love your coasters! This is my first time at your site, I am visiting via Pip Stitch.
I hope you will stop by for my 5 giveaways this coming week!

Thanks for the fun giveaway. My most memorable costume was dressing in old raggy clothes like a bum with my teeth blacked out. Lots of fun, luck to everyone.

Love the comments I have read so far. Made me reach back in my memory for a costume of mine. However, my all time favorite is still the brown dog costume I made for my son when he was 5 (1979). I made it out of his father's brown terry cloth robe and had to buy dad a new robe for Christmas as a result, LOL. Anyway, I completed the outfit with a BIG orange pumpkin candy collection bag and a rubbing of black food coloring paste on his nose for that puppy effect. It didn't wash off for weeks!

i was a clown last year, i'll put the picture on my flickr ... my 3 yr old son cried begging me to take the wig and makeup off!

I love your coasters.
My favorite costume was Pippi Longstocking. I had long hair and my dad helped wire my braids to stick out!

My most memorable Halloween costume was supposed to be a pumpkin but I ended up giving birth to my first son on Halloween Day in 1975. So I guess my costume was actually a hospital gown!

What a lovely give-away. We don't really do Halloween here in the UK so I've never dressed up. I was once dressed as a traditional japanese lady, complete with full make-up, for the school play. The school was very close to my house so I walked home in costume. When my Dad opened the front door to me he got the shock of his life! I have a photo of my daughter in a hastily cobbled together costume for nursery. It's not great but it's the only Halloween dress up we've ever had. You can see it here:

One year I dressed up like The Mummy. It took me an hour or so to wrap myself from head to toe. Some people thought I was an accident victim..sigh...I guess they weren't classic horror monster fans.

Great givaway!
My favorite was Marie Antoinette.
I had the tall wig and ostrich feathers and huge fake diamond jewelry. It was lots of fun getting that costume together.

My most memorable Halloween costume was also my most bizarre. I think I was about 14 or so. I didn't have a costume, but there was an ugly (cheap gorilla mask in the house) so I put it on and was bugging my sister for a bit. I kept adding stuff to the mask, first a hairclip, then earrings, some lipstick...the more people laughed the more I threw on. I put a skirt on over my jeans, threw on a ton of dangly bracelets and colorful beaded necklaces, and for the grand finale I added a trench coat and a fake "Indian" hatchet.

The best part came when my sister and her friends dared me to go outside like that and I did it. No one knew who I was so it was great.

6:57 IS before 7p.m. so I'll make it snappy...my most memorable costume...the year I (and my two brothers) had to be a clown 'cause Mom made us. It was awful ;) Funny now, though.
