Lost Peg Dolls Revealed, Giveaway on Monday

 

"Oh, Sawyer I am so happy now living in Dharmaville with you. I fix carburetors and you are a security guard...what could possibly ruin our bliss? Wait...did you hear that noise?"

 

"Hi guys...hate to ruin your picnic, but Jack wants to blow up the Swan station with a hydrogen bomb."

 

"Locke, I can't stop staring at your ear...there is so much wax in there."

The Lost giveaway; you can read Lost Ate My Life, and Judy Blume (like Sawyer), pack your lunch and impress your coworkers with Dharma lunch bags, and put your Sawyer mug (not pictured, still waiting for it to be shipped) on your Dharma coasters. I have to read all of your answers because I'm not sure if any of us are right - do we know what the incident really is? We will have to wait until next season to see who really died, so I may put your names in a hat. Does this sound fair? I will announce the winner Monday. I am still working on the peg dolls, it was difficult to paint real people and I hope they sort of resemble the characters. I wanted to paint them all, but ran out of time and patience.

Lost Season 5 Finale; The Incident

Please don't read if you haven't watched this episode!

I wanted to spend time and write the bestest Lost post ever, but I have to write my thoughts down now because I need to hear what you think. I have mixed feelings about the finale; it wasn't what I expected. I'm still confused, and I'm done with the Kate/Juliet/Sawyer/Jack love quadrangle. Let's discuss:

I was shocked Jacob was revealed in the first minutes. This scene was important; the black on the new mystery man and white on Jacob. We've seen black and white before, and if this was a predictable show we could guess that Jacob is good, and Man in black bad. I'm going to assume the ship in the distance was the Black Rock ship, perhaps the one that carried Richard..or Ricardo.

Their conversation:

MIB, "You brought them here. Trying to prove me wrong aren't you?"

Jacob, "You are wrong."

"Am I?" "They come, they fight, they destroy, they corrupt. Always ends the same."

"It only ends once, anything that happens before that is just progress."

"Do you have any idea how badly I want to kill you?"

"Yes."

"One of these days sooner or later I will find a loophole my friend."

"When you do, I'll be right here."

So who/what are they? Is Jacob a God like person, trying to get a group of people to be good, to find their purpose and not destroy the island? Or is Jacob amusing himself by finding people and testing them to see how they will behave? Does his friend want to kill him because he is evil or sick of sitting on the island playing "Risk" with Jacob?

1. We see Jacob visiting Kate and Sawyer as children, he attends Jin and Sun's wedding, gives Jack a candy bar, appears to heal Locke, and leaves Hurley with the mystery guitar case.
2. Richard says he doesn't age because of Jacob. Is this Richard's reward for being a good person or punishment for something?
3. Richard was visiting Locke in the past to see if he was special, Jack told him he shouldn't give up on him.
4. Eloise was their leader and pregnant.
5. Vincent, Bernard, and Rose are living in retirement on the beach. I didn't like Bernard with the new crazy island man look. Rose offered them some tea and lectured them..."It's always something with you people, you traveled back in time and are still finding ways to shoot each other." "It's all that matters in the end - being together." I think Rose wins the Jacob special purpose contest.
6. Book Jacob was reading before Locke came crashing out of the window, Everything that Rises Must Converge, by Flannery O'Connor . Would you be interested in reading this book for the Summer? Maybe for the book club I've ignored?
7. Ben is a Pisces.
8. I wanted to cry when Sun found Charlie's ring...DS.
9. Jacob tells Jack when he hands him the Apollo bar, "Guess it just needed a little push."
10. Eye roll moment; when Jack told Sawyer the reason he wants to blow up the island is because Kate is not his girlfriend. "I had her." I suppose it would be nice to have a boyfriend that will detonate an H-bomb for you, but this seemed like a useless scene. How many times are they going to fight? How much blood can Jack get on him?
11. Juliet decides it's a good idea to blow everything up. Why? Kate again! She thought Sawyer was making googly eyes at Freckles and now she would rather not know him than love him and lose him. Whatever.
12. Sayid. Oh no...we will have to wait until next season to find out.
13. I liked the scene between Jacob and Hurley. Hurley offered him a fruit roll-up and told him he was cursed. Jacob told him that he may not be cursed, but blessed because he can still talk to those who died.
14. Miles brought up an interesting point, "What if the nuke is the incident." The thing you are trying to prevent is what Jack is doing?
15. More, Live together, die alone happy love...longing looks at each other as they throw a bomb down the well.
16. The scene with Juliet falling down the well with Sawyer crying was awful, but we don't know if she is dead. Which scene was sadder - Sun screaming for Jin or Sawyer for Juliet? How much effort do you think Kate put into helping Juliet with the chains?
17. What did Ricarrrrdo say to Ileana? Was that Latin?
18. So Ben kills Jacob because he was ignored. Typical. Interesting how the new Locke was able to manipulate him by playing on his weaknesses. Ben, "What about meeeeeee?" Jacob, "What about you?" Was it just me or was that the most awkward stabbing you have seen on TV?
19. Jacob whispers, "They are coming." Who? Ilana and the Others? Or is it Jack and Co.?
20. I knew there was going to be a body in the crate, just not John Locke's. So, the Man in Black found his loophole and killed Jacob. Does this mean John Locke is dead or duplicated? Does the John Locke in the crate have shoes on? Is the talking John Locke an evil twin? Why does Jacob use the body of Jack's Dad to talk to people, yet walks around in the real world handing out candy bars? Can Jacob take over the other body of John Locke?
21. Juliet ends the season with a little rock... bang, bang, bang-white light.
22. Previews for 2010- nothing but what appears to be Jack's eye opening. My theories - his eyes will open back in the jungle when the plane first crashed and they will spend next year trying to get things right. They will move forward to find out Locke is evil and the war will begin. The plane will land and Mrs. Hawking will have to convince them they have to go back again because they left Juliet in the well.

What did you think? Was it everything you dreamed of and more? Do we know what the incident was? Is Juliet and Sayid dead? Is Desmond coming back? Who is evil/good? Why was Ilana in the hospital and how does she know Jacob?

Lostmas Eve :: Season Finale

The husband asked tonight, "So is everyone who watches Lost like a Star Trek dork?" I told him that J.J. Abrams was one of the creators of Lost and the new Star Trek movie. "Then you are all Star Trek, Lost, and let me guess...Star Wars dorks?" Well maybe not all three, but I am a proud Lost dork. We love it because it requires high intelligence to ponder smoke monsters, love quadrangles, and dead fathers walking around an island!

These are the Lost coasters I made for the giveaway. My husband also had a wise crack about these, "So, would you have a Lost party and bring these out and pretend you are part of the Dharma Initiative?" Um, yes. I also thought the winner could pretend they are Sawyer and Juliet, and when you have the Dharma people over, you use the white side, and when Kate is visiting, ruining your night, the green. The giveaway will have 2 books, some Dharma paper bags, these coasters, and Lost peg people. I am trying to scramble and finish them. It's really difficult to paint real people on a peg doll frame, especially Sawyer. So, if they look awful, lie to me.

I wish you lived near me because I would have a Lost party and we could drink Dharma beer, like this, or have food like this with a 15 year old cracker tray, Jin's sushi, Hurley's candy bars, and four toed cookies. I would send you an invitation.

Lost, Follow the Leader

Please do not read if you have not watched tonight's episode. Is next week the end of this season? I thought we had two more weeks, but it looks like next week is two hours? Please tell me it will be two hours. I'm scrambling to get our Lost giveaway together; I tried something crafty that is creating problems, so I hope to solve it by this weekend.

1. Tonight everyone found their purpose; John has a purpose, Ben is following orders, and Jack suddenly believes he must detonate a bomb to put things back the way they should be.
2. Interesting comment Ben made about Richard, "He's a kind of adviser, and he has had that job for a very, very long time." Adviser? Like for Charles Schwab? Jacob? Anyone who has a purpose? What was the significance of Richard making a boat in a bottle? Why does Richard seem confused by what Locke is doing?
3. Locke seems to be letting the power go to his head. He brings a fine dinner of Swine Flu to his new people and demands that Richard go with him on an errand, which is to help him in the past. Richard informs Sun that he knows her husband because he watched them all die - so, in the other past they messed up?
4. I don't like the new passive Ben, he has become the disgruntled employee, whispering to Richard after he says that Locke may be trouble, "Why do you think I tried to kill him?" Locke seems to enjoy torturing Ben, "The island told me...didn't it tell you to do things?" Ben, "No, John, but clearly it hasn't told you where Jacob is, or you wouldn't need Richard to show you." Locke, "You've never seen him." "What, did too." "Did not, he's my BFF." "No, my BFF!"
5. Kate doesn't want to reset time and disagrees with Jack that all of this has been misery. Jack wants everyone lost to be alive again, and doesn't care if that means he won't know Kate. She doesn't want 3 years of her life erased, and I can't blame her - all those naked moments with Sawyer. Sure, she was kidnapped, tortured, chased and shot at, but it's a small price to pay. She tells Jack he is starting to sound like Locke, "He was crazy too Jack."
6. Loved the scene between Dr. Chang and Hurley, "What year were you born?" Hurley, "1931" "You are 46...you fought in the Korean War?" Hurley,"There's no such thing." "Who is the President of the U.S.?" "Alright dude, we are from the future." So, Dr. Chang knows that Miles is his son, but he doesn't hug him, just sort of stares at him. It was still a good moment, I shed a tiny tear for Miles and his Daddy.
7. Dr. Chang believes them and orders all women and children off the island and Sawyer and Juliet get to go too. I changed my mind about the Sawyer vs. Kate vs. Juliet then, I wanted them to be happy - buy their Microsoft stock and bet on the Super Bowl, but Kate shows up, the biggest third wheel and ruins everything. Can you imagine being Juliet, you finally get your man and who shows up? Freckles...and you know she is going to start babbling about the bomb and blah, blah, blah and they are going to have to go back or jump off the sub. I bet Juliet is going to die and then Sawyer can really hate Jack.
8. Great line from Sayid, "If this works, you might just save us all, and if it doesn't at least you will put us out of our misery." Sayid's days are numbered too, he doesn't trust Eloise, and I think he may be right.
9. The big reveal, Locke plans to kill Jacob. I didn't see that coming. Why does he want to do this? I'm so confused as to who is good or who is crazy. Jacob better not turn out to be some B movie monster - a giant swamp leech made with bad special effects. Why does Richard seem concerned that they arrive without notice? What does he want to tell Locke in the tent before he starts a coup?
10. Next week - season finale; Sawyer & Jack have a bloody face, Sawyer is back on the island, Sawyer says, "I don't speak destiny," and someone opens the box the people who arrived on the last plane brought. Any guess as to what's in the box? Please not another dead body. Speaking of boxes - remember the box Ben told Locke about - the one that you could imagine something and it would appear? Where is it? So, we need to find out - where the dog is, where are Rose and Bernard, what's in two boxes, who the war is between, who is good vs. evil, what the incident is, if Sawyer will kiss Kate or Juliet, when will Desmond go to the island, what is in Hurley's guitar case, and if Locke can kill Jacob. Could Daniel be Jacob? Trapped between time and space because of an experiment gone bad? Whew.

I have to add more to this post after thinking about it all night; why didn't they bury Daniel? She didn't even cover his face with the blanket, just put in on like he was sleeping. Also, could Locke be Jacob - trapped in the well he went down - in whatever year that was? Is that why he needs Ben...so he can kill him again? Can Locke kill Locke? Now that would make for some strange TV.

                     

Lost, The Variable

If you haven't watched this episode, please do not read this - spoilers!

This one left me with goosebumps, so this will be a lot of rambling because I want to hear what you think.

1. Wow, I'm glad Eloise was not my Mother. Eloise. "Good Lord, no," when Penny asked her if Ben was her son - maybe they would have been a better pair.

2. We know that Eloise was his Mom and Widmore said he was his father, but when Eloise slapped him I don't know if that was for late child support or if it meant he wasn't.

3. Daniel was crying about the plane and didn't know why. Something happened to him - I'm assuming from his time travel experiments. Widmore tells him the island may heal him, so this is why he had Charlotte testing his memory when they made it to the island. WIdmore admits to sinking the fake plane.

4. I felt so bad for Daniel. All he wanted was his Mom to be proud of him. I wanted to cry when she shot him and he said, "You knew, you always knew. You knew this was going to happen and you sent me here anyway." He goes to the island because she said it would make her proud.

5. It was curious when Eloise told Penny that she wanted to apologize for Desmond getting mixed up in a conflict that is "bigger than him, bigger than all of us." "For the first time in a long time, I don't know what is going to happen next." So, Eloise and WIdmore seem to be trying to fix something and they know how the story unfolds, but Daniel becomes a variable they can't predict. She no longer knows what will happen because everything they do from here is a result of Daniel trying to change things with his journal. He believes in free will, that they can change their destiny - heard that before.

6. Daniel wants to use the hydrogen bomb to destroy the Swan station, which will prevent a catastrophic event. He wants Dr. Chang to evacuate the island. More on this later.

7. Daniel says as a child, "I can make time."

8. Love Sawyer's welcome to Daniel, "Welcome to the meeting Twitchy...the cupcakes are in the kitchen, help yourself to the punch."

9. I'll have to look for a screen shot, but the magazine Widmore moved when he sat down was Wired and the front read, "The impossible gets real."

10. Hurley was surprised they were in 1954, "Like Fonzie times."

11. Ugh, Charlotte as a child is still creepy, "Not allowed to have chocolate before dinner."

12. Do you think Dr. Chang now believes Miles is his son?

13. Widmore tells Eloise one of the things he has had to sacrifice was his relationship to Penny, this makes her mad because she knows soon she will be shooting Daniel.

14. Desmond reminds Penny that he promised he would never leave her again. I think he is going to have to return to the island.

15. Why does it seem like Eloise and Widmore are making things up as they go? How to they know the future? Is it like Desmond suddenly remembering things - when she shoots Daniel, it is the same time as when she was crying while he was playing the piano. Do the dates fit?

16. Daniel wants to prevent the Swan from being built, which will keep their plane from crashing and the freighter's arrival. In the previews for next week it appears that they are trying to do what Daniel set out to do. So, if they are successful, does the show end with their plane landing in L.A. or do they crash because whatever happened, happened? Was there always going to be a catastrophic event at the Swan or did their arrival, per Eloise's misguided instructions cause the event? If the story ends with their plane landing, does this mean none of them will remember what happened and they will be strangers. I'm not sure if I would like this ending, but it would make for a nice reunion.

17. I'm going to miss Dan.

18. Next week; Some people are being evacuated on the sub - which includes Sawyer and Juliet. Jack looks beat up, but swims under something to enter a chamber - is it what lies beneath the statue? Do you think the people on the beach with the guns now are the Dharma people who were evacuated on the sub? If they do something to go back to Locke time and Sawyer and Juliet are on the sub - where will they end up? How will we survive the Summer without Lost?

Lost Withdrawal

I could have cleaned or started the quilt, but I watched the rerun episode tonight. I knew it was a rerun, but they said, "From a different perspective," so I thought it might be worth watching. It was not.

Next week is the 100th episode is titled "The Variable." We are going to see a back story on young Daniel - oh I hope we see him at age 5 wearing a tie. There may be Mrs. Hawking (young), Widmore, and Desmond. The title is curious, is Desmond the variable and he has the ability to shift the whatever happened happened theory? Where did Daniel go when he left the island? Eloise is still on the island in 1977, so did he leave her a secret message somewhere? He must find some way to get back to 2007; just in time to grab a gun and fight the new what lies in the shadow of the statue people.

Will someone die to mark the 100th episode?

Where are Rose & Bernard? Are they hanging out at the camp for 3 years?

At the end of tonight's episode, they set up a poll so you can vote on your favorite love scene; Jack & Kate, Jack & Juliet, Kate & Sawyer, Juliet & Sawyer - who cares. Instead, what is your favorite Lost scene? Mine; Hurley throwing the Hot Pocket at Ben. I also love the scene when Desmond meets Jack and says, "See you in another life...brother." Until next week.

Lost, Some Like it Hoth

Love the title of this episode, but I think it was another "filler," but we did learn some things about Miles;

1. Miles has to deliver a body to the Orchid station, he learns the man's name, but I'm confused as to how he died - was he shot or did the filling in his mouth come loose from the electromagnetism and shoot through his brain?

2. Naomi has a meeting with Miles in a restaurant kitchen with a dead body on the table. Miles tells her that the man was attempting to deliver cemetery photos of empty graves and a purchase order for an old airplane to Charles Widmore. My first thought was, Aha! Charles Admire ordered the plane full of dead bodies...but was the man trying to blackmail him or give him information about Ben? Remember when Mr. Friendly showed similar photos to Michael? Didn't the freighter Captain have the same file, except he claimed Ben set it up?

3. Miles is pulled into a van, and Bram tries to persuade him to not work for Widmore. He asks him the magic question, "What lies beneath the shadow of the statue," and when Miles doesn't know the answer, he says he is not ready. He wants to help Miles fill the hole inside him left by his father, Miles wants to fill it with 3.2 million dollars. They push him out of the van and Bram says, "You're playing for the wrong team." Miles responds, "Yeah, what team are you on?" Bram,"The one that's going to win."

4. Who are the people in the van? Are they Dharma super babies who want to return and take over the island? Did they ask Miles the statue question because they are part of the statue question people or know the statue question people will kill him?

5. Kate tries to drink a beer with Roger, and is shot down even though she is sporting some fine bell bottoms. Roger decides to get drunk and belligerent and has a confrontation with Jack, who is erasing some Egyptian stuff from the chalkboard.

6. Favorite Hurley quotes:

   • "You're just jealous my power is better than yours."
   • "Dude, that guy is a total douche." Miles, "That douche is my Dad."
   • "Maybe he will let you hold baby you...or you can change your own diaper."
   • "Let's face it, Ewoks suck, dude."
7. Love that Hurley is rewriting The Empire Strikes Back.
8. Miles has closure when he sees his Dad holding him, reading The Little Polar Bear (?). I want to know what kind of symbol is on the Dharma onesie. Did they do experiments on the children?
9. The numbers were all over in this episode, the Orchid and the hatch are being built, and the Dharma people seem more sinister.
10. I think their days in Dharma Land are numbered - maybe it's Sawyer tying up his coworker or Roger who will see to that.
11. The big surprise? Dan pops out of the sub, without a tie, wearing his new evil scientist black jumpsuit. What is Dan doing?
12. Next week is a Lost special (re-run) of how the Losties got to the island - from a whole new perspective. Who's perspective? The week after is new; Kate is trying to flee in a van, while being shot at by Dharma men in black jumpsuits, Sawyer says, "This is our home, come with us Freckles." Does he want her to live with him and Juliet, like Three's Company?

Lost, Dead is Dead

I don't know where to begin, my head is spinning with smoke monsters and Ben with wigs. I loved this episode because I enjoy watching the interactions between Ben and Locke. I will forgive the cheesy swirling Alex at Ben's judgment and the fact there were many other thing Ben could have been judged for; I felt the Alex story didn't fit with why the island would be mad.

1. Michael Emerson deserves an award. It's nice to see a show where the characters can't be put into boxes of good or evil, saucy cop vs. straight cop - the characters here are complicated. When I watched Ben pushing Alex on the swing, I actually liked him - completely ignoring the fact that he stole her. I still think Ben has a good heart. Sure, he's wiped out many people, but there is good there.

2. The episode opens with a sexy version of Charles Widmore sporting Fabio hair. He confronts Richard about saving Ben, and Richard tells him that Jacob wanted it done. Charles accepts this and goes to Ben's tent and welcomes him to the family.

3. Ben explains (or lies) to John that the reason he killed him was to help him return to the island. John asks why he stopped him and Ben said it was because he had critical information that would leave with him, but once John told him..."Well, I just didn't have time to talk you back into hanging yourself...so I took a short cut." John shrugs and says, "I was hoping for an apology." I don't believe Ben's story. I think Ben wants Locke out of the way and was shocked when he was on the island alive. What critical information - Ms. Hawking? Ben knows who she is. I found it interesting when Ben told Sun, "The fact that John Locke is walking around this island scares the living hell out of me.

4. Is John Locke the smoke monster? It seems odd how he disappears when the monster appears. Maybe no one is the smoke monster because it's some Egyptian thing that I have to look up because I don't know what it means. Why is John nagging Ben about judgment time? I think Ben told him about his judgment and thought he would just blow it off, but then Locke kind of liked the idea, so he repeatedly reminds him that it's time.

5. Ben and Locke want to take one of the boats, but Caesar (aka Tony Montana) tries to stop him.."My friend...er, say hello to my little friend." Ben doesn't even wince and shoots him Scarface style on the beach and flings Locke the gun and claims that is his apology.

6. There were so many great lines between Ben and Locke, but I liked this one, Locke, "You just make friends everywhere you go." Ben, "Well I've found sometimes friends can be significantly more dangerous than enemies...John."

7. Charles Widmore. He seemed quite evil in this episode, especially when he told Ben to kill the baby and Ben responded, "It's not an it - this is a child." He asked Ben to kill Danielle, but he is surprised by the baby. I think Ben took the baby to protect it. He knew one of his comrades wouldn't be so kind. We learn how Charles leaves the island - by submarine. I thought Charles would have been forced to turn the wheel, but no, he was being banished for not following the rules. One of the rules he broke was having a daughter with an outsider. So, now we know Penelope is not Ms. Hawking's daughter. Why does Charles think the island is his? Love the line, "I'll be seeing you BOY."

8. I'm loving Frank now - he's cute isn't he? He is a milder version of Sawyer; a voice of reason..."As long as the dead guy says there's a reason, then I guess everything is going to be just peachy. Forget about our friends being 30 years ago, and the only ones here to help us are a murderer and a guy who can't seem to remember how he got out of a coffin."

9. Ben tries to call the smoke monster by pulling the plug on the bathtub, but he doesn't show up. Again, I will forgive the bad special effects (smokey drain plug) because the writing is good.

10. Locke is suddenly a man of knowledge and this ticks Ben off. He wants to know why he knows the secrets of the universe, and Locke tells him he just does.

11. Desmond and Penny. When I watched this scene, I held my breath. Then sh*t, he just shot Desmond...and sh*t Desmond is alive and beating Ben and throwing him in the water! I think Ben changed his mind about killing Penny when he saw her son. See, he's good! Oh, ignore all the shooting and intent, nice guy.

12. The Temple. Ben tells them it is 1/2 a mile from the wall, which was put there to keep people like them out. So, we still have to learn about the temple. It seemed Ben was surprised when he went to see the monster. I would have thought that since his innocence was lost there, they would have at least told him what the Egyptian symbols meant. Does anyone on the island know all of it's secrets? Is Jacob Tutankhamen?

13. The judgment. I thought it was a bit much, very Wizard of Oz. When Alex appeared I expected her to turn into a demon and bite Ben's cheek off. I was glad he survived, but I'm not sure Ben is going to enjoy his new role as servant to Locke.

14. What lies in the shadow of the statue? Oh my, that big crate, guns, Ilana and a bunch of sleepers waiting for "the time". Is this the war? Are these people hired by Widmore? Did Hurley even out the odds by buying all those seats, and preventing some people from getting on the plane? Do you think Caesar might have been a good guy, and Ben just killed the only person that would have helped him? What's in the crate?

15. Next week; Miles and Hurley are driving around with a corpse. Hurley wants Miles to admit he speaks to dead people. I bet the person dead is an Other and Miles is going to try and learn their secrets, which may be interesting.

Lost: Whatever Happened, Happened

Tonight's episode made up for last week's Sayid is a killer episode. If you haven't watched this one yet, please stop reading now. Initial thoughts:

1. Poor Kate. Sawyer is in love with Juliet, Jack has become the man of no action, and the only available bachelor who is interested in her is Roger Linus. Ew...but it would be interesting to see what kind of step mommy she would be to Ben.

2. I loved the scene between Hurley and Miles. I think this was the writers way of explaining what is going on before we all get too frustrated. Not sure it helped. So, the past and future already happened, but when Ben turned the wheel, 1977 is their new present. "This isn't a straight line for us anymore." When Hurley tells Miles this is all confusing, he says, "Well, get used to it." O.K. writers, I will try to get used to this, but please don't start people fading away.

3. We found out what Sawyer told Kate in the helicopter, to take care of Clementine. I thought Kate was going to leave Aaron with Cassidy, which I thought was a bad idea. She seems like a bitchy friend that always makes you feel bad. Plus, two women cannot be friends if they have slept with the same man.

4. I'm glad the old Kate is back even though she is checking out Ben's Dad. I thought she was coming back to the island for Sawyer, but we learned tonight that she wants to find Claire.

5. I don't like the new laid back Jack. "Maybe the island just wants to fix things itself...maybe I was just getting in the way." So, he refuses to save Ben, tells Kate she didn't like the old him, and makes Juliet mad while he is naked. His reason for returning? Because he was supposed to, but he is not sure what he is supposed to do. So for now, he is going to be a janitor and make sandwiches.

6. Kate and Sawyer take Ben into the jungle to meet the Others and Sawyer tells Kate he wasn't fit to be a boyfriend or a father. He tells her he is helping Ben for Juliet and Kate seems annoyed. I know some of you like Sawyer and Juliet as a couple, but I don't. Sawyer should be with Kate and Juliet should date Ben's Dad. I'm not sure who Jack should be with yet, but the love triangle/quadrangle story is getting old.

7. They find Richard with a new shirt on, and he tells them if he takes Ben, he will never be the same, he won't remember what has happened (how convenient), he will lose his innocence, and he will always be one of us. He takes Ben into the secret temple...probably to do some ritual with the smoke monster and make Ben evil. I'm curious if Ben returns to Dharma after this and if Jack would have just saved him, would he have in turn saved everyone from Ben's evil deeds? Is he going to come back like the cat or Gabe in Pet Sematary; a little off?

8. Ellie and Charles are in charge of the Others at this point, but Richard says he doesn't answer to them. Does Ben become the spoiled child of the island and Ellie and Charles tolerate him because they have to? She seemed to have a poor opinion of him when they were back on the main land in the church, like he was an annoying fly.

9. At the end it seems just as Richard is saving Ben, the older Ben wakes up to see Locke, who welcomes him back to the land of the living.

10. Next week Ben tells Locke he returned to the island to be judged because he broke the rules. It appears he is going to release the smoke monster and see if it's his time to be punished. I hope Ben stays on the show, it won't be the same without him. There are flashes of Ilana hitting Frank with a gun, Ben tripping on old rocks, Ben threatening Russo, and Ben on a pier with a gun...please not Penelope!

The title of the season finale this year is "The Incident." The incident was mentioned in one of the orientation videos - it happened soon after experiments began at the Swan. It is the reason for the button pushing. The big mystery is what is the incident? Did the Losties try to return? Did Ben try to set the island on fire? Did Jack walk away from a burning building because he couldn't be bothered? Did Daniel lean down to look in a Swan hole and his tie was sucked into a time vortex? So, question #1 is your version of what happens.

Lost; He's Our You

This was the first episode of the season I didn't like; it was a filler episode. Was this the discussion of the writers; "We need to portray Sayid as a killer." "Um, we already did that in the episode where he was in the Iraq National Guard or the one where he is killing people for Ben." "True, but we still need more." "Oh, oh, I've got it...what we show him killing a kitten?" "No, no too harsh, people love kittens." "Hey, what about a chicken...that's it!" Sayid kills a chicken and then 10 year old Ben gives him a chicken salad sandwich, which then clicks in his mind; Ben = chicken...I kill chickens.

1. Ben brings Sayid 2 sandwiches and a book, A Separate Reality by Carlos Castaneda, which describes the experiences under the influence of psychotropic plants.

2. Sawyer wants Sayid to tell them he is an Other, he refuses and is tortured with a sugar cube with truth serum on it. Sayid tells them the truth, laughs, and no one believes him. Go figure.

3. The sugar cube, "Has some side effects." Which may be imagining that you shot Ben Linus or believing that you have to shoot Ben. I think Sayid's days are numbered, which is too bad because I think he has a lot to offer as an actor.

4. Sayid is drinking in a bar and meets Ana Lucia II (Ilana) and buys her a $120 drink to chase down her bloody steak. Eventually they are back at his place kissing, and she kicks him in the face with her Sarah Palin boots, grabs her gun and tells him she is a bounty hunter and is taking him to Guam.

5. When the Dharma group was voting to kill Sayid, one of them asked if they should, "Call in Arbor and let them make the decision." Is Arbor the outside company funding the Drama Initiative?

6. I don't like the new house playing Sawyer, I want him to take his shirt off, mess up his hair, and go run in the jungle and shoot things. Juliet is such a bad influence.

7. Daddy Issues. I would like to see Dr. Phil and Oprah come to the island for a show:

   • Dr. Phil, "Who here has Daddy issues?"
   • Sayid, "My Dad was a hard man, and made me kill a chicken."
   • Locke, "My Dad tricked me into giving him my kidney, then pushed me out a window."
   • Sawyer, "My Dad killed my Mom and them himself after Locke's Dad swindled them out of money."
   • Kate, "My Dad was abusive to my Mom, so I blew him up."
   • Oprah, "You go girl!" (audience cheers while Kate turns around dancing)
   • Juliet, "Um, we haven't got to that episode about my parents yet...hmm, should I be worried about my job on the show?"
   • Jack, "I don't know if this counts, but my Dad drank a lot and put me down. Now he is a zombie running around the island."
   • Ben, "My Dad blamed me for my Mom's death, then broke my glasses, so I gassed him." (silence from the audience)
8. We learned that Sayid did not beat up Ben before he got on the plane.
9. Ilana may be working for Widmore, her accent is terrible.
10. Kate doesn't know how to fix cars, but little Ben knows how to burn them.
11. The big question...Did Sayid kill Ben? If Sayid killed Ben, how does this change things? This could be an interesting twist to the story line, but it may be too much. If Sayid kills Ben as a 12 year old boy, does Ben on the island now die? Will the purge happen, but someone else will have to step in? If they find a pair of old dress shoes, can they turn Ben into a zombie? Has Ben always been undead and that is why he seems cold? Did Ben go back to turn Sayid into a killer, so that he would go back and kill him, only the sugar cube threw off his aim and Ben survives and is now frustrated because Locke is immortal and he is not. Is that why they want Aaron back on the island; to switch bodies with Ben? What if Ben knew he was going to die, killed Locke so that when they all came back to the island, he could possess Locke's body; Locke is Ben? Is your head spinning yet?
12. The title to next week's episode is, "Whatever Happened, Happened." Maybe Daniel will walk out of the jungle, wearing his tie and yell at them for trying to change time. Juliet complains that they didn't need saving and Jack & Co. are placed under house arrest. It may be time to leave Dharma Land.
