"The house is a constant stream of talking, demanding, & destroying. " Ok, so it's not just my house that's like this! I, too, thought it would be easier when my two boys (ages 3 & 6) outgrew the baby stage, but it's just noisier. And dirtier, lol.

It is most definitely getting harder. And I want to run away screaming every 10 minutes. LOL

Sounds like my house. You're not on your own. I'm not sure that it necessarily gets easier, it just gets 'different'. Though things did get a bit easier once my daughter turned 8. Though I've since had 2 more kids so we're back to the tearing our hair out and getting no sleep stage! And I'm still popping by to see what you're up to so don't worry about not having any readers :o)

Wish I could say it got easier/cleaner/quieter. My boys are 8 and 11 and let me just say that every single request I made of them was coupled with the word "quietly" because, seriously, even clearing the table was making enough noise to wake the dead. I don't mind your complaining at all... makes me feel like I'm normal and not experiencing a psychotic break

I hear you. The change in level of need surprised me as the boys grew (now 8,4 - we're in the same boat). The talking the expecting of answers, the questions, the talking, the NEEDING. It is overwhelming at times. I am remembering those times I spend hours in a chair reading while breastfeeding and holding a sleeping baby. People brought me water. Ahhh.

I do miss your posts though. Could you do it for me?

those are so great! I Love them, and I'm always happy to read your snippets, as few and far between as they are getting :)

I just came downstairs from getting my 3 to bed and was preparing a rant-y post in my head about the same thing! My daughter is like pigpen, only worse. She isn't dirty but a trail of dirt and destruction follows her.

Okay, I'll stop. Thank you for making me feel less alone *right* this minute. :)

Still here and reading! :) Hope you can find some time to relax and do some paper crafting after all!

Ugh. DON'T TELL ME THAT! Lalalalala I can't hear you! My poor little blog has been sadly neglected ever since my second LO was born nearly 7 months ago (LO #1 is almost 3 years old), and now you say it just gets WORSE?! So I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that. Lalalalala!
Oh, and Merry Christmas :)

You crack me up about liking to complain!

If you like the Japanese paper doll book, check out the pop-up origamic architecture books on amazon. Though you need to use a fine-blade exacto knife to do it, and it's definitely not for kids, it's fairly easy, and the results are always dramatic. Cards made with it are a great alternative to a purchased present. People would be flattered that you took all the time to do it. I find it relaxing...

i definitely love those paper dolls.:) brings back a lot of childhood memories!
