I'm having trouble focusing right now, the kids are staying up later now that we have more sun in the evening - or I should say light because it won't stop raining. I was so happy when they woke up this morning at 6:30. Long day.
I will make a list soon for Traveling Edward. I finished the Twilight series today, so I am having a crash similar to the end of this season's Lost.
I want to bring the book club back - I will post the name of the book soon, but I was thinking of the one mentioned in the last episode of Lost (can't remember the name). For August I would like to read Stephenie Meyer's The Host - which is from the adult section. I am interested to see how her writing changes when it's rated R and not PG-13.
Finally, I am going to try and scan some of the vintage embroidery patterns I bought. I also started the gnomes, but filled them with color after this photo:

I hate the crash that comes after I finish a series (book or tv), so I sympathize with you on finishing the Twilight series.
If you like to read series, some of my favorites are:

~ The Bronze Horseman
~ His Dark Materials
~ Harry Potter (especially the latter books in the series, they getting so much more detailed and meatier).
~ Ender's Game

dang. gnomes are cute.
I'm starting book 2 of His Dark Materials, love Harry Potter of course, and Ender's Game is one of my favorites too.

I'm so embroidering those jump roping gnomes. I have had them on the wall since the post ready and waiting for me to finish grading finals...I love them

Give the Host time, at first I was ready to throw it out the window but came to like it by the end.

I've only read the first Twilight series book so I need to finish those. Love the gnomes...what are you going to do with them when you are done?

YES I would love to do a book club and read The Host and Everything That Rises Must Converge (the Flannery O'Conner one you were trying to remember). Er... man I have a lot of reading to do before then, I'm in the middle of like two different things currently already. Off to stick my nose in a book!

I got The Host for Christmas, started to read it, then stopped because it was making me feel all multiple-personality-disorder. However, I am willing to try again, so I'll read along. When do we read it?
